Supervisor & Team Leader
MANAGING YOURSELF AND YOUR STAFF
- Delegation and Empowering Staff –
Delegation vs. job assignment, knowing what to delegate, who to delegate to, and when to assign jobs. Learning the importance of effectively training and empowering staff. Learning not to let staff leave their problems with you instead of dealing with the issues themselves. This essential set of tools will reduce the number of ‘monkeys on manager’s backs’.
- Effective Time Management –
understand how to apply good TM principles – e.g. ‘Do it Now’, identify common time wasters, deal with procrastination, determine priorities. As a result of applying the tools provided, staff and managers can reduce stress, create more planning time and be more proactive and productive. - Effective Meeting Management –
making meetings relevant by controlling the meeting agenda, dealing with difficult individuals and improving communication. We also look at developing strategies and the importance of follow-through on tasks. - Time Management and Delegation

Effective relationships between Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y are essential for every organisation. Understanding how to make this happen is not as difficult as you might think!
